Our 'Incredible Care' campaign

The best way to explain hospice care is through people’s own experience as a volunteer, patient or supporter. Your story can help others find the courage to face the diagnosis of a serious condition, or inspire people to take action to support the work we do so that more people can have access to the right care, at the right time and in the right place. Support our 'Incredible Care' campaign by sharing your story.

Dispelling the myth of hospice care

Sometimes it can be difficult to explain what hospice care is all about. Many people still think that a hospice is just a place you go to die, however there is much more to hospice care than this and our figures reveal that around 60% of our patients go home after an admission.

Delivering care as unique as those receiving it

At Wheatfields, our care centres around the patient and all those who matter in their life, because everyone is different and requires personalised 'Incredible Care'. This could be anything from helping a grandfather attend his granddaughter’s wedding with the help of our nurses, to bringing a mother and daughter together for a girly night of movies, chocolate and popcorn.

Wheatfields Hospice has touched the lives of local people in many different ways and the hospice team are keen to hear about these personal stories. We would love to hear about what Wheatfields Hospice means to you, your family and your friends.
