About St John's

Located in the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside, St John's offers specialist palliative and end of life care.

Services for patients, families and carers include:

  • inpatient care
  • day treatment centre
  • complementary therapies
  • admission and discharge liaison
  • family support
  • chaplaincy support

All of our services are supported by a strong volunteer programme.

Our building has recently been updated to meet the very important needs of our residents. And we have an experienced and qualified team working to the needs of each patient, making sure that these are met throughout their stay with us.

We launched the Partnership in Excellence Palliative Support (PEPS), funded by NHS Bedfordshire. PEPS offers a co-ordination service to help support palliative care patients who need specialist care in their community.

All healthcare organisations are required to make information available about medicines used in their organisations, we at Sue Ryder use our local formulary: SEPT NHS - formulary and prescribing guidelines
