There are no visiting hours here at Nettlebed Hospice - family and friends, including children, are welcome to visit at any time. We also welcome well-behaved pets, and value them as part of the family.
Parking is free at the hospice. Disabled parking is available in front of the building and there is wheelchair access via a ramp to the front entrance.
We’ll ask you to sign in at the reception desk and sign out when leaving. We’ll give you a visitor label - please wear it at all times. The front door is locked when a receptionist is not on duty. Please ring the intercom bell on arrival and a nurse will let you in.
To help prevent the spread of infection we ask all visitors to use the alcohol foam or gel at reception on arrival and departure. Alcohol foam or gel will also be available at various points in the ward.
There are tea and coffee facilities for visitors in the foyer and the lounge area. Visitors can pre-order food from the daily menu and pay at reception. Out of hours, we have a fridge in reception that's stocked with sandwiches and snacks for family members to purchase - there's an honesty box above the fridge for payment.
If a family member wishes to stay we can sometimes offer overnight accommodation. This will need to be discussed with the nursing staff. No charge is made for these facilities.
