Education and training at Nettlebed

Education and training are an integral part of our service - both for our own staff and for other healthcare professionals.

We provide specialist education and training in palliative and end of life care, and act as an expert resource for other local services.

This is done through courses and study days, and through our specialist nurses working alongside others in their own practice area.

We also host doctors and student nurses on placement as part of their training, and participate in a programme for nurses on secondment for two days per week from their normal place of work.

We do this to improve their knowledge and skills in specialist palliative care.

Our education and training is delivered by experienced educators and practitioners, with the aim of supporting the provision of effective care and treatment to patients and their carers.
