What we've achieved: 2013–18

Over the past five years, we’ve delivered hospice and neurological care to people in our hospices, neurological centres and out in the community.

We’ve seen some exciting developments in our influencing capability and delivered a fantastic fundraising partnership with Morrisons. As a result, we’ve seen exciting developments to the healthcare we deliver – such as our Online Community.

The environment in which Sue Ryder operates is evolving, in particular the expectations that our patients and service users have about how, when and where they receive their care. The Executive Leadership Team, our trustees and I want to make sure we are in a position to adapt to these changing needs and contribute our expertise and knowledge.

Introducing our Five-Year Strategy

We’ve launched our Five-Year Strategy 2018–23 with the key objective to provide ‘more care for more people’.

This means more services, both palliative and neurological, delivered in the community, online as well as through building greater partnerships with other healthcare providers. It sets out ambitions to make sure our buildings are fit for purpose and expanding these (where possible) in the future.

At the heart of this is our desire to expand our excellent care to a wider amount of people, in more locations and in different ways than we do."

We want to harness our reputation for excellent care to further influence how care is delivered across the country. And we want to seize the opportunities that digital can give us to deliver care, fundraise and help us work better, simpler and smarter.
