We had a mum with us at a hospice, whose young daughter was terribly upset and finding it very hard to come to terms with the fact she was going to lose her soon.

The nurses arranged a last ‘girls' night in’ for them, right there at the hospice – complete with popcorn, chocolates and a DVD of Dirty Dancing.

The daughter had been feeling sad that she and her mum would never be able to do girly things together again,, so giving them some fun and precious time together meant the world.
