Get involved in the World's largest Mascot Race
Mascot Gold Cup 2014
The world's largest mascot race, the Mascot Gold Cup sponsored by Foresters, returns to Wetherby Race Course and Conference Centre on their Family Day race meeting, Sunday 13th April 2014. Last year over 80 larger than life furry characters joined us in the world's largest mascot race. This year we'll be clamping down on mascots running around the fences even if they are pushed wide like Flash the Star was last year.
Get involved in this year's event and have a great day out at Wetherby Races while helping us at Sue Ryder to continue our incredible care for those with incurable illness.
Interested, but no mascot? Get in touch! We have a number of costumes that can be 'adopted' for the day. Mascots first take part in the Mascot Parade where punters can place their bets on their favourites, then there is a one minute mascot warm up before the race itself. Mascots run the final furlong infront of the cheering grandstands, that's 220 yards and negotiating 6 small fences.
The sooner that you sign up the more time your organisation will be promoted on our 'Who's in the 2014 race?' web page.
Mascots will be sent a complimentary race day pass for themselves and one for a helper. Each mascot can purchase unlimited extra tickets at half price rate (if ordered in advance), so why not make a great works trip out of your Mascot Gold Cup race day?
